Loss of Mother (1920?)- Father’s pet child, family favorite w neighbors (Father keeps close contact w mother’s family  despite wife’s decease)

Father-daughter bond grows stronger -  she receives her social/ cultural apprenticeship – thru father,  public skills & exposure enhanced

Feathering her nest:  launches family of four between 45 – 53;  juggling priorities between family / husband support and professional / medicine career

Grandmother…mentoring and care… and support matrix for family tales/tails. Ie. Instead of relinquishing or lessening family burdens, there is a new set of responsibilities launched and which will take up of her energies and sap / drain reserves. (remember: she is now in her sixties! –usually a phase of retiring from family responsibilities .. or filling out in a more leisurely vein…)

Geriantologia Strikes: Gathering storms in private life, compounded with critical health problems, and depleting public reserves - Coping strategies are tested to the limit- while sustaining momentum of public involvement through periodic reprieves

SPIRITUALITY

A punctuated spiritual retreat to the Holy sites
